Bigfoot Becomes Earth’s First Official Mascot in New Global Podcast Documentary Campaign
Actor Dawan Scott Launches “Big Feats for Earth” to Help Students Protect Endangered Species and Ecosystems Through Saving School, Sports Team, and National Mascots
LOS ANGELES, Calif. – September 26, 2026 – A new global podcast documentary project, “Big Feats for Earth,” will officially introduce a one-of-a-kind environmental hero: Big Feats, a Bigfoot character created by actor and former professional basketball player Dawan Scott to serve as the world’s first official mascot for Planet Earth!!!
The campaign will be launched from the steps of Los Angeles City Hall on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at noon, before connecting live with audiences in Switzerland, Belize, China, and Japan through a series of global podcasts and educational events.
In a world filled with sports, school, and corporate mascots, the creators of Big Feats for Earth believe no one has ever imagined a mascot dedicated exclusively to protecting the planet and its endangered species.
The podcast documentary series combines entertainment, sports, education, conservation, and social media activism. Through virtual events and international partnerships, Big Feats will challenge students and families to use creativity, memes, sports competitions, and community projects to help protect endangered animals and threatened ecosystems.
One of the first initiatives will be the “Save the Panda Challenge,” a basketball-themed environmental awareness campaign inspired by viral social media challenges. The program will invite participants from China and around the world to promote panda conservation and wildlife protection.
The project also plans to connect children and educators with environmental programs in Belize, highlighting the importance of preserving rainforests and coral reefs through interactive online events.
The podcast’s sports and entertainment network includes basketball legends, former professional athletes, educators, and environmental advocates working to engage young people in sustainability through athletics and storytelling.
Drawing on his basketball experience in Switzerland, Scott has plans to expand the project internationally by challenging students at schools connected to the headquarters of the Olympics, FIBA, FIFA, YMCA, YWCA, and the United Nationsto develop campaigns supporting endangered school, national, and team mascots.
