Brian Swinehart is an American actor, writer, stand-up comedian, and award winning producer. He is a true professional and a pleasure to work with.
For those who aren’t familiar with his work; below is just a short capture of some of his work to date:
It was 2000, Brian left his home state of Ohio to relocate to California to pursue his acting career. In a short period of time Brian began working as an actor and became a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
In 2002 Brian took the stage for the first time as a Standup comedian. After months of hard-work, it all began to pay off for Brain when he begun to get stand-up comedy bookings all over the United States!
At the same time Brian was also booking parts in independent movies and building a strong acting resume. Brian had studied with some of the best acting teachers and acting schools in Hollywood.
In 2009 his training was about to get even deeper when he got a job as the stand-in for Matthew Mcconaughey in the movie Lincoln Lawyer. On the set of Lincoln Lawyer Brian watched Matthew closely, read lines with him and threw a football with him at lunch. Brian worked on a Mccongnahey impression which many people consider to be the best Mcconaughey impression out there today.
In 2012 Brian was in the movie about last night where he got to work with Steve Pink a director Brian greatly admires Swinehart was in several scenes playing Kevin Hart’s co-worker.
In 2013 Brian booked a role in the TV Pilot Broken Dreams where he acted with academy award nominee Danny Aielo.
In 2014 after the passing of Paul Walker Brian was hired to be a stand-in and hand double for Paul’s character. Whose character name was coincidentally Brian.
In 2015 Brian stood in for Josh Holloway on the TV show Colony and was in two national commercials one of which played during the Super Bowl.
In 2016 Brian headlined a national comedy tour and co-wrote a script called Rehabbers with Alex Nahon.
In 2017 Brian wrote and Produced the Movie Burning Shadow which was a hit on the Festival circuit it has a talented cast including famed French Actress Julie Delpy.
In 2018 Brian went back to his roots in Ohio to write and directed a heart warming short film for the Easter Seals Disability Film Challenge starring his friend Dennis “Scooby” Wiloughby. Scooby who had never acted before got nominated for best actor and the town of Covington Ohio rallied behind Scooby to send him to Hollywood to walk the red carpet at this monumental event.
A few months later on July 5th 2018 Brian’s cousin invited him to Kentucky to go on a boat. While on the boat a rope got lose flew back at Brian and in self-defense he grabbed for the rope which sliced off the tips of his right middle and ring fingers. The pain was excruciating and put him in a depression. However six weeks later Brian was back on the stand-up stage doing what he does best turning pain into humor.
In 2019 Brian continued to hit comedy stages across the country and acted in a movie called The Tarot directed by Peter Hyoguchi. On a personal level Brian’s finger accident inspired him to do a wrestling tournament. Brian was a state qualifying wrestler in High School and a member of the Junior Olympic team however he hadn’t wrestled since his Dad died 20 years prior. In March of 2019 Brian competed in a wrestling tournament that was age 18 and up not only did he compete in the tournament legendary film maker Ismael Lotz from the Netherlands made a documentary about Brian’s return to the mat. The documentary is called I Cleaned My Room and will be released in 2020.
